Which PSU?

Hi all

I have recently purchased an ASUS P8Z68-V, I5-2500K and 16GB RAM. My current PSU seems to have a problem with any system apart from the one I am running now so I need to upgrade to use my new kit. My question is what should I go for? I currently have 2x8800GTOC2 in SLI, 3 Samsung HDD and an optical drive that will be running along with the new kit as above. I really want a pretty silent one as I am replacing a Zalman ZM750-HP which is silent when running.

Thats a big no for that PSU, try a quality make,

How many 6pin PCI-E connectors does each gfx card need?

Each GFX card is 6 pin PCI-E, but I am planning on upgrading my cards soon so may need 8 pins. WOuld a 650W supply work for my system? I would prefer a modular system to keep cabling inside my csae to a minimum if possible

Well that OCZ has a 6pin and one 6+2pin PCI-E, if your cards needed two 6pins each then I would have suggested something else, saving you the use of molex to PCI-E adaptors.

I would stay away from the Battle psu,
I got one because I was skint, its going in the bin when I get paid and Im getting another, it keeps shutting off my pc and wont start back up and makes stange squeling noises

I would rma but have thrown all the box away etc
