Which PSU?

I am planning on a build (my first one) with a budget of around £1200

i5 3570k - mild overclock, never done it before so won't be rushing in to that :p
GPU: 7970 overclocked
1 SSD, 2 HDD's

I am thinking of one of these PSU's...

Coolermaster Silent Pro 700W Modular

XFX 750W XXX Edition Modular

The first one would be a little better as it would get be back within budget :D but I don't want to skimp on PSU, so if the latter or any other around that price is the best choice then I can do that :)

Thanks

I don't like to skimp on PSU's either. So for me it would be the XFX.

Also, not a fan of running a PSU much over 60% and never above 80%. Why?

Noise!

Good PSU's today will ramp up the fan speed as temperature rises caused by the load on the PSU.

So for some PSU's up to 40% capacity then fan does not turn at all - silent PSU.

Then above 40% the fan will kick in, but as you get above 80% your PSU fan could be going full blast - Not silent!

OK. 90% Load and still quiet - 12db - but it is an 850W. BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 10

The 850W is made by seasonic and is 80+ platinum rated. 1000W and 1200W are also made by seasonic. Lower power versions are made by FSP.

Will OCUK be stocking the BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 10 series?

Corsair Hx850 mate, superb psu

Just had a look and does seem to have good reviews.

Think it is a bit overkill for one 7970 though? I would rather keep it sub £100, but wouldn't mind adding the £22 for this if it is necessary, means I am spending a fair bit anyway I don't want to be tight over £20 lol
