Which PSU?

Hi guys, I'm on the last stages of my build now and all I need is a PSU. I have the following spec:

AMD 8350 4GHz Processor
Asus Sabertooth R2 Mobo
16gb Kingston HyperX RAM
Corsair H105 cooler
Samsung 840 Evo 250gb
Sapphire R9 280x Toxic GPU

I've read that the GPU needs a minimum of 750w power supply, will I be ok to just go for a 750w or would it be best to go for a little higher like an 850w?

I've been looking at either the seasonic x series or a corsair although corsair ones are made by seasonic these days.

Any suggestions are much appreciated :)

Have you already purchased the other items ?

I would be looking at a 550W/650W for a 280X, although you can get the new Seasonic M12II Evo fully modular 750W psu for £79.99.

I have already purchased the above items yes, its just the power supply I need.

Ok nice one, I'm not looking to crossfire anytime soon so don't need the extra power. A nice 750w will do the job fine then :)

I agree. I seen a youtube vid of a system:
i5 4670k @ 4.5, gtx780 ti, 1x 1tb HDD, 1x 240gb SSD, H100i AIO, 16gb 2400mhz and Maximus VI Gene. All running from a 450w PSU.

Using OCCT to push the system to its limits. The total power draw recorded was 430w. It just goes to show that most people just get PSU's way above whats needed.
 
You really do not need 750w for that setup. No single GPU setup will ever use 750w of power on any decent branded PSU.

the Antec HCG620M PSU would be perfect, you could even get away with the Antec HCG520M PSU if you are not overclocking.
