Looking at getting either or:

Both are on this week only and I'm considering the following...

2 x 160GB Seagate drives for a RAID 0 for my O/S (Was looking at the 80GB disks)

4GB upgrade from OCZ, currently got 4GB of Corsair RAM. (Running Vista x64).

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a Logitech MX1100 as my MX510 died this morning

Trouble with RAID 0 you need to be strict on back ups as you're effectively doubling your chance of failure.

Depends what you'd use it for but personally Id go for the extra RAM!

You won't get as big a difference upgrading to 8GB from 4 as to 4GB from 2, but it's still worth it IMO, as unless you use multiple RAM-demanding programs simultaneously, you'd be able to disable your paging file and reduce disk ops, so you might not then need the hard drive upgraded so much.

That much storage for an OS is clearly overkill anyway, so if you were gonna upgrade the hdd, you might as well go for smaller capacity. You can't use them for backup because of RAID 0, so there's little point having the space at all. Whether it's worth it for the speed boost would depend on if you've got an old, slow hdd currently I guess, but if you've a mainstream 7200rpm I'd probably go for the RAM.

Well I've gone for the 8GB as I had £30 cash spare and thinking of also doing the 2 x HDDs as it's my Birthday tomorrow

Would do but my members market access is blocked and trying to get it lifted. Got barred for expressing an interested about 2 years ago. If I can get it lifted then that would be cool, but no one is replying to my mails etc. I could have changed to a new user, but didn't so...
