Which QDCs?

Well I've been staring at the QDC page for about an hour now reading each description and I'm no where near figuring out which two I'll need for my system.

I want to have one attatched to my bottom GPU and then to a length of tube going to the pump/res so it'll disconnect right under the GPU but I can't see anything that'll fit the tubing I have which is this.

Any advice?

ALso, bonus question. I'm getting rid of my XSPC Bay res and going for a tube res, do I need to get a pump top as I'll be using the D5 that came with the Bay res so i can actually connect to the new tube res?. I've had a good look around and I've still got no idea.

I got a bit baffled when looking through list here too. You find one half that'll work and then you can't find the other side to match in the size you want...

I ended up getting these from elsewhere:
- Koolance VL3N-FG Quick Release Connector Female G1/4
- Koolance VL3N-M13B Quick Disconnect Male Barb for ID 13mm (1/2in)

Together, they're quite long though. Have a look at the pics my build log to see if you think they'll fit in your intended location :) Perhaps a 90° male/female end would work better?

Not sure that you NEED a top, but I reckon you should get one anyway.

I don't mind spending the extra few quid to get a top, just not sure how the bare D5 will connect to a tube res.

Just waiting for the Bitspower 250 tube res to come back in stock then everything is ready to go.

Thanks for the info though, I might go for a 90 degree one just to save a bit if tubing instead of having to arc it round and create more length for the fluid to go through. It's provably going to be a little while before I sort everything anyway as I'm still working out where the tubing will go once the tube res is in while minimising the amount I use. I can't stand tubing going all over and covering all the components. =P.

Yeah, I hate swathes of tubing too.

If your D5 is literally just the pump and doesn't have the front cover, then you'll need a top.

Actually, forget getting a 90° QDC. Just use a 45 or 90° rotary on the GPU and plug the QDC into that.

They can be hard to get your head around, if I get chance this weekend I'll make a purchasing guide based on what ocuk stock as this question comes up quite often.

There's a bit of one on the Koolance website but that's equally confusing if you don't know what you're looking for.

Is the xspc tubing just an awkward ID/OD or am I just being too meticulous with the measurements everyone gives?

If it's the 7/16-5/8 tubing it's not an odd size it's just koolance have no support for those dimensions. You need 1/2 barb terminations in this case.
