Which quad should i buy Q6600 or Q9300 ??

I need to buy a new intel quad cpu for upgrading my system in my sig....
(As am going be using the e6600 i have in it now,for builting a HTPC)

But which intel quad cpu should i order ??? (which is best for overclocking ?? )
(max price i can afford to go up to is about £200 ex-vat)

After reading this review ,i maybe far better off going for an E8400 or E8500 dualcore (4.3ghz+ on an E8500 mhmmm)

Depends what you are doing with your PC.

Everything....

gaming / browsing net / video incoding / a little 3dmark benching / playing movies (SD & HD) /etc etc

Am going wait a week or two and see if the new Quad prices drop when they come in stock....
As i would really like to go for one with 12mb cache and a higher muilti then the Q9300 has...

Q9450 for you then? it'll have a higher multiplier and more cache too

Yes....(Unless i can find a really good price on a Quad Q9550)

If you don't mind waiting a while get one of the new 45nm quads.
Need something straight away then get the q6600.

Wolfdales are great if you want a fast PC for Gaming but for an all rounder quads are a wiser choice.

The 9300 has a very low multiplyer and if you fancy doing a bit of overclocking they are a bad choice.
Spend a bit more and go for the q9450.
