Hi guys,

Recently have started using an old Cooler Master ATCs 201 Blackwidow case again and it takes 80mm case fans, 4 of them to be precise.

It's got Akasa ones in there currently, several years old (atleast 6 years), and I'm wondering if there alternatives which output as much or more air but are quieter?

Any suggestions? Also if they glow blue that'll be great :p

TIA
Jake :)

Oh and removing the fan grills/guards if possible helps too. I used tin snips to get rid of the ones in my Antec Solo and lined the edges with some rubber edging.

try Gelid Silent 8 PWM, but tbh it's a waste. just get a better case.

Looking for minimal expenditure really, don't fancy chugging out for an expensive case. The cooling at the moment is fine, just want to change the fans to make it a bit quieter.

Good shout, will give that a go, thanks :)

I used 3 Nanoxia Deep Silence 80mm Ultra Fans in my latest build and they are the quietest 80mm fans I've ever come across. Might be worth having a look at them

Your motherboard may allow you to have some fairly sophisticated fan control too. Mine for example is set to run fans at 800rpm until temperature dictates they spin more quickly and noisily.
