which R9 280X version?

I'm going to be purchasing an R9 280X torn between the Gigabyte Windforce or the Sapphire Vapor-X, the extra year warranty on Gigabyte is nice.

Unsure how the cooling difference is between them the Gigabyte having 3 fans vs 2 on Vapor-X, I know quantity doesn't always mean everything..

I think the difference in cooling is pretty marginal, so the choice should be made on more significant points.

Which one is quieter?
From the reviews i have seen, the windforce is quieter. I havnt got a 280x but have owned both types of coolers on different cards and tbh, i cant hear either over my Scythes, and they arnt exactly loud.

Best RMA?

Gigabyte RMA is fairly local for us and lasts longer so it is an easy win for Gigabyte if you will keep the coolers on. If you may eventually watercool though, sapphire is the way to go! They allow you to remove the stock cooler to replace it as long as you return it to its original state before sending it off for an RMA.

I am going to say Gigabyte if you dont replace the coolers, sapphire if you do.

no intention of replacing coolers, noise not a major issue for me, been listening to PSU whine at me for over 6months (thats getting replaced too)
