Hi,
I've bought 8 GB RAM accidentally
so I think it's good ocassion to check out how Ram-disk will work, making longer breath (life) for my SSD.
I intend to split memory to 6 GB for RAM (so far I've had one and only exception when system told me "lack of memory" - during playing settings in BF3 online.. now I've got 4 GB) and 2 GB for Ram-disk which would contain swap file. TMPs are on RAID HDDs to save SSD, and swap is on SSD - regarding to tech OCZ guys who say swap file has much more read cycles than write ones, but it obviously depends on overall memory usage).
Few years ago I used Gavotte's RamDisk, which was - frankly and truly - dissapointment due to low speed.. let's say its speed was comparable to RAID-0 (2 HDDs). So my question is - which is best Ram-disk software nowadays ? Any experiences ?
Thanks
