Hi, just putting together a list for a CPU/Mobo/RAM upgrade, and have settled on either the Ryzen 3600 or 3600X.
Which RAM is the best option for 16GB at tight timings to draw out the max performance from that combo?
VIPER STEEL 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 PC4-35200C19 4400MHZ DUAL CHANNEL KIT (PVS416G440C9K)
TEAM GROUP EDITION 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 PC4-28800C16 3600MHZ DUAL CHANNEL KIT
Are they essentially the same, just the Patriot Viper are higher binned so more likely to overclock better to get the tighter timings?
I couldn't really find much info about QVL and which Motherboard would pair well. Looking at MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX but open to whatever is going to get the best out of CPU/RAM, not sure if I need X570 for this or not. I won't be needing PCIe 4.0 for a couple years probably
