I am going to start a new build in a few months when I have some money together and want to get some good ram, So far on the build I have chosen to go with the asus commando mobo and will hopefully go for one of intels quad cores when intel do there price cut that they anounced recently , graphics cards will be nvidia 8800 GTX (maybe the extreme watercooled version ) and I will start of with 1 and add another once im up and running , hard drive im unsure on been thinking about 2 raptors in raid 0 and a large storage drive 750GB maybe even 1TB( external maybe) but thats up in the air at the moment,
And I want to use a water cooling system on it all, case wise I already have what I consider a good case (Antec Plus view1000 AMG) so may not bother replacing that Psu will look at last of all so I can take in and work out my power needs.

Use wise this baby is gonna be part of my etertainment sytem so I will be playing games on it watching movies through it and recording tv on it along with it being my hifi .

So that is the system I want to build but there are so many different types of ram to choose from , firstly I will probably start with 2GB and along with the second graphic card get another 2 at a later date , so far ive been looking at ocz and there flex range which will tie in with the watercooling but which do I get the 800 Mhz or the 1000+ one also corsair dominators sound good so any recomendations would be appreciated. :D

Also recomendations on places to get the stuff from wouldnt go a miss either , no offence OC UK but every pound I save will go into something else. ;)

Wait til nearer the time dude.

Buying computer components weeks before you need them is always a bad idea.

You're about 90% to lose money by buying before you need them.

Thanks for the reply but I think you missunderstood me, as apart from the second graphics card and the storage drive all the kit will be bought at once im just leaving it to see if the new graphics cards due out soon are any good and the price cuts on the CPU,s but as I stated I need an idea of some decent ram to go with this possible set up , so if you have any rec,s them lets have your ideas. ;)

Cheers

Well since money seems to be of little object, 4gb of the Cellshock PC6400 would be a very good option. It will out preform a lot of the PC8000 memory.

And we're unable to recommend competitors.
