I admit I only have a minimum of knowledge on RAM in general and am struggling to decide which ram to use on what system.
There are 3 lots of DDR3
Hyper X Fury 8 GB single stick 1886 CL10
Hyper X Savage 8 GB single @ 1666 CL9
G.Skill Ripjaws 2 x 4GB ( Dual) 1333 @CL9
I have one existing system and two in the first stages of bulid, none are going to be overclocked, two are going to run onboard graphics and one an passive ATI 4500 series card, so none have demanding games or graphics to deal with.
Each system will have either a Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD or an 850 EVO, choice of 2, 128GB and 250GB All 3 are 2.5" format.
Each will also have a Tosh 1TB 2.5" HDD for data.
Choice for each system of Win7pro 64 Bit or Win 10 tech prebuild.
The 3 bulids are:
ASRock H97M-ITC/ac with Pentium G3258K up and running with the Gskill installed.
ASRock AM1H-itx with Athlon 5350
One of the ASRocks will be for general browse, and movies, 720 is fine so 1080p not critical At the moment its the G3258 doing this and it performs well.
The other ASRock will be for general and maybe photo editing, paintshop etc. no rendering, simple stuff.
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 with Phenom11 x4 955 BE
The Phenom system is to be dedicated to just audio work using Presonus studio artist software, so just that and an OS on board.
As I say, going round in circles trying to decide which ram for which.
So any insight, recommends or guidance is most welcome.
