Basically I'm pretty new to this computer builds thing and I'm wanting more ram

Currently got 2x2gb corsair xms3 1600 sticks

Looking for 8gb and I know my mobo will only support 1333MHz

It's this mobo I have;

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8H61M_LEUSB3/#specifications

And I'm running an i7 2600 if that matters

Basically would this ram be okay or are there and others that would be better for up to about £60ish

This is the ram I've currently looked at;

COMPETITOR LINK REMOVED

I think it's just a bigger version of the ones I currently have just the right speed yeah?

Cheers

John

Linking to competitors isnt allowed here, you should remove the link.

This part of the ram description really makes me laugh however:

Outrageously fast 1333MHz performance using 16GB of memory
Ultra-low 9-9-9-24 latency

LOL

Does it automatically run slower or do you have to do it? Honestly I've never done anything like this so I'd want to do it right

You should be able to use 1600 Mhz at 1600 Mhz!

No need to run it slower, I'm sure that motherboard can handle it.

I dont think it does, the max speed is 1333MHz with a i3, i5, i7, if you use a Pentium it maybe slower at 1066mhz.

there are no other values given.

I have looked at them and also the Gskill ripjaws 8gb kit (more leaning towards as it says its good for gaming on the overclockers site) or the Patriot G2 series

Don't know much about G-skill tbh are they a decent brand?>
