which ram please?

i have this motherboard :- GIGABYTE K8N-SLI

and this cpu - AMD64 4400X2

atm its running 2x512mb crucial balistix 3200 and ive been getting loads of errors

i think its because the pc needs to be formatted but im thinking to upgrade to 2gig anyways!!

whats the best way to go? new mobo and new ram or just new ram as i think this mobo only takes 3200? im not vry good with all the new stuff out i only use the pc for a few old skol games and irc/burning/surfing altho the pc is on 24/7 i did run battlefield 2 the other day as it took forever to load is this cause i need a format?

ok i have formatted

and re-installed everything and i just now had a website up and turned my mediusa 5.1 usb mobile headset off and it blue screened me i was using mozilla and wmp at the time

im gonna run memtest now also to see if its ram and also update the headsets drivers

I wouldn't rule out the ballistix just yet, it is very prone to failing. Im just about to RMA for the 4th or 5th time in under 2 years, I've lost count!

The last time it I RMA's it passed memtest but would always crash my PC if i left emule on overnight. Try each stick individually, If you find your problems only happen with one particular stick installed then RMA regardless of what happens with memtest.

The RMA service is very good so if you ship on a monday they'll be back by friday.
