Which RAM to get?

Hi All,

I have a very quick RAM question.

I was planning on getting some PC2-5300 RAM and just OCing it to 800MHz. However I've just seen that some PC2-6400 RAM from the same manufacturer has become availible for slightly less than the 5300.

Which do you think I should get?

The RAM I was planing on getting:
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA663)

The RAM I'm now thinking of getting:
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA804)

If you can get the 6400 cheaper than the 5300 then go for it.. its a no brainer.. the 6400 guarentees you 800mhz +

Also Ballistix is a good choice good service, good clockers.. i have the PC2-8500 stuff myself

as Yesem says, it's a no brainer really. Even if you don't intend on doing any overclocking now you may change your mind later and this will give you a little headroom later should you wish. bear in mind though, that the memory will only work at the speed dictated by the CPU external bus speed (assuming a RAM divider of 1:1) regardless of the RAMs rating.
