now i would say the gskill looks better in the m/b but is there much difference in the performance of the 2 makes of ram?

as which ever one i dont use im going to sell
thanks

Use the g.skill - it has the faster frequency (1600MHz as opposed to 1333MHz) plus it has the added advantage that you think it looks pretty. ;)

question about the gskills, do they effect the arctic freezer 7 pro rev 2(will be cooling i2500k once I get it)? have read that ram with fins don't play well with large cpu cooler, I will be upgrading the arctic freezer in the future but not certain if I'll go air or water.

I know the blu will fit.
Dont forget the Freezer7 is a lot lower and alittle wider (on the fan side) than most fans. The fan is also unguarded, so if your fan housing vibrates while spinning, it might catch the gskill.

I could find out for you as I have a p67 board with the freezer7 and my friend has the gskills....but Im too lazy at this time of night :p

2Pence on the Kingston Blu 1333.

I wrote the first review on the product page. I've been running 16gb since June, i'm running stock timings & speed, however i'm running at 1.3v (default is 1.5v). The memory has been rock solid stable in 4 months not a single lock up or blue screen. Given my own experience I can only recommend it.

I have the 1600mhz version of your ram its great. I bet you could run yours at 1600mhz if you upped the volt to 1.5. Bumping the volts to 1.56+ also enables the timings to go to 8-8-8-24.

I tend to agree. However I'm a software developer working from home and can't afford any risk to computers stability, hence I don't overclock. Computer gets enough abuse active 16 hours a day, and used almost every day of the year as it is!

Fair enough. ;)
