Hi Guys,
Upgrading my X58 system for a skylake one, so far have decided on the following:
EVGA GTX 1080
Maximus Hero Alpha VIII
6700k
My question is RAM, I have seen a pile of benchmarks in games which show benefits of higher frequency RAM on Skylake (as opposed to tighter timings).
Vengeance® LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18 Memory Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2B3600C18)
Is there any reason to go for 3200MHZ at C15 instead?
I am aware the differences are very marginal but I'm not fussed about spending a bit more money I just want the best 2x8GB kit I can get.
I'm going to throw a spanner into the works and tell you now that it has to be as low profile as it can possibly be, I have very little room under my CPU cooler.
Thanks in advance for any help!
