Which ram?

Can someone answer me a question, im building a new rig based around a phenom processor, which ram would be best.

I understand one is 1000mhz and the other is 1066mhz but is there really that much difference in performance?

I would like to use 2gb sticks as i can then upgrade to 8gb rather than the max of 4gb using 1gb sticks

No there's very little difference between 1000mhz and 1066mhz.

Have a look at the G.Skill PC8000 2x2gb kit too.

thats tempting, so looks like ill go for the 1000mhz, i take it that would work fine along side a phenom in a 790fx board

We'll not know until 790fx has been on the market for a bit.

But in theory they should be fine together.
