With more and more ram on the market all with similar timings i just dont no which to go for, reading many reviews on each product just leads me to believe the product they have purchased is the one they believe is the best.

i am looking for pc6400 DDR2,

and so far i believe either of these 2 would be great choices, considering i have around a £50 budget.

or

what would you guys recommend.

50 quid is an awful lot to spend on 2gb these days. You can get a 2x2gb kit for that kinda money.

If you insist then go for any of the OCZ PC2-8500 kits. Just don't spend 50 quid on a 2gb PC2-6400 kit.

are 8500 really any better? seeing as im gona be overclocking my e2200 from 2.2ghz stock to around 3.2ghz. i would have thought having a closer fsb:dram ratio was better , sorry if im being stupid lol - still learning

The E2200 has a x11 multi, so in theory you would only need the memory to run at 582mhz at 1:1, tho you would be wiser to use the x9 or x10 multi to run a faster FSB speed. Even on the x10 multi you would only need the memory to run at 640mhz, and that's still slower than PC2-5300 speeds. At x9 your memory would need to run at 712mhz.

So yeah PC2-8500 would be a waste of money. I would recommend the OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-5400C5 Dual Channel Vista Upgrade Gold kit if you want to spend £50, otherwise the OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC kit will be more than enough if you just want 2gb.

Geil Black Dragon, see my siggy :D woots that stuff looks cool. i bought mine for 49quid (was on offer)
I wish i had bought 8gb its quite pricey to get hold of now and tbh no idea why.
