I've decided to upgrade the RAM in my Laptop from 1GB to 2GB (Max. Supported), but I'm not quite sure which RAM I should buy. I downloaded CPU-Z and had a little look but it seems I can't find the type I need from the usual places.

CPU-Z Reports the following for the CPU and RAM:

Code:
[B]CPU[/B]

Name Intel Core Duo T2300
Codename Yonah
Specification Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2300 @ 1.66GHz
Package Socket 479 mPGA (platform ID = 5h)
Core Speed 997.7 MHz (6.0 x 166.3 MHz)
Rated Bus speed 665.1 MHz
Stock frequency 1666 MHz

[B]RAM[/B]

DIMM #1

General
Memory type DDR2
Module format SO-DIMM
Manufacturer (ID)	Samsung (CE00000000000000)
Size 512 MBytes
Max bandwidth PC2-4300 (266 MHz)
Part number M4 70T6554CZ3-CD5
Serial number F321D93D
Manufacturing date	Week 13/Year 06

Timings table
Frequency (MHz) 200	266	266
CAS# 3.0	4.0	5.0
RAS# to CAS# delay	3	4	4
RAS# Precharge 3	4	4
TRAS 8	11	11
TRC 11	15	15

DIMM #2

General
Memory type DDR2
Module format SO-DIMM
Manufacturer (ID)	Samsung (CE00000000000000)
Size 512 MBytes
Max bandwidth PC2-4300 (266 MHz)
Part number M4 70T6554CZ3-CD5
Serial number F321D93C
Manufacturing date	Week 13/Year 06

Timings table
Frequency (MHz) 200	266	266
CAS# 3.0	4.0	5.0
RAS# to CAS# delay	3	4	4
RAS# Precharge 3	4	4
TRAS 8	11	11
TRC 11	15	15

But the closest I can find is this, which is PC2-4200.

I also noticed in the Timings Table of the RAM, that each of the DIMMs are reporting one frequency as 200MHz, whilst the others are at 266MHz. Is this normal? I'm not quite sure how it works to be honest (been a while!) so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

That seems quite odd, but I guess I'll take your word for it.

I've found the same stuff available elsewhere, and cheaper!, so no worries. Thanks. :)
