which ram??

hi all, can someone please give me a link or the right spec to what im after,

this is what it says when i googled my mobo

Memory
Memory Type DDR SDRAM
Number of Memory Slots 2 x 184 Pin DIMMs
Supported RAM speeds 400 MHz • 333 MHz
Max Supported RAM 2 GB


i think ive got 2 sticks in now at 512mb 333mhz so 1 gig,

which is best for me to upgrade for the max?

2x 1gb at 400mhz?

1x 2gb at 400mhz?

will this ram make much of a difference aswell? im only sticking it in just tie me over till xmas etc!

Hi everton,

Yes the ram will make a difference but if its only till xmas then save your money.

Put it towards bigger jump then.

Post your mobo name and people on here will be able to help you more.

If you decide to go ahead then 2x1gb better (slightly if your mobo can run dual channel) but I doubt you will tell the difference.
 
As above save your money DDR ram tends to go for a lot of money for what it is, if you were eligible and had a look on the members market you would see it goes very quickly.
I just paid 15 pound for 2 512 sticks on the bay just to give you an idea of the costings :)
 
wow didnt think they would be that much!

its only a extra £20-30 for 4/6gig of ddr3 ram! thanks for the help guys i think ill hold on for a bit!!
