Which Razer Mouse Mat?

Hey all!

Im looking to change my current mouse mat (As im using this cruddy fabric one that slips around at the moment) and since I have a sweeet Razer Deathadder, I feel it's only neccessary to complete the trend and go for a razer mouse mat (See range Here)

Which one should I go for... AND WHY :eek: :cool:

Why do you even need a mouse mat? I use mine on a crappy wooden desk and it works perfectly. I say the cheapest because they arnt needed. You only "need" a razor mouse mat if you want to brag about how lovely your mouse mat is :rolleyes:
 
i went from a func1030 to a razer exact mat (func was about 5 years old!)

very happy with it

if youve got an expensive mouse, using a desk instead of a pad is shooting yourself in the foot imo :)

I didnt ask for a lecture on why I SHOULDN'T buy a mouse mat - WHICH :D

I did give you an opinion... the cheapest. I have been round a friends with the one with the arm rest. its very comfortable at first, after a while it goes kinda hard as it just molds to your wrist and stays like it and is compressed down making it harder. But still i gues its a good support for your wrist. Though he only got it for bragging rights and was amazed how un-inrested about his mouse mat i was.

I think you should just decide do you awnt to move the mouse very fast or with more control. if you think you can control moving it fast then you should benefit from going for the "speed" razor mouse mat, if not get the control one which i presume is ruffer.

i've not used a mouse mat for years. don't see the point since ball mice were killed off.... that doesn't really answer your question though does it?!
 
IMO, I'd say it really comes down to personal choice. Do you want a large, solid and heavy mousepad (with or without the wristguard option) or do you want an even larger fabric one?

Personally, I like my exactmat with wrist guard. I've had it for almost 2 years now and it's not indented at all where my wrist sits on the gelpad (which is kind of off to the side).
The main selling point for me was the wrist guard as I do have carpal tunnel. But I also like that it feels substantial. It doesn't feel cheap or anything.
 
Using exactmat here. Tried the control side once and never touched it since. Just buy the razer mat wich just has the speed side. Have never got a wrist guard but feel like I could benefit from one :P

same here. Dont like the control side atall. Also the wrist rest is nice and worth getting :)

Strangely enough, the mantis speed is reputed to be rougher and therefore slower than the mantis control.

I think when it comes to mice, it seems strange to buy something as expensive as a Deathadder only to use it on a wooden desk. What better way to effectively waste all of its ability by making it have to work harder to track well?

Anyway, I would say unless you typically use a very low sensitivity, go for the exactmat. That way you get the two sides in one and can decide which suits you better. It's also very much like a func1030 which is great :)
 
I have the "Razer Mantis Control Mat Precision Gaming Surface" and i don't have any problems gaming and is a lot better than used my adder on my desk.

Just because you are unable to tell the difference doesn't mean other people can't.

It's kind of along the same lines of MP3's. Some people can tell the difference between 192kb and 320kb and some people cannot.

Ahh, that I'll agree with. I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives for the fabric mats which are just as good if not better than Razer's offerings.

Although if someone is wanting a hard mousepad with a wrist guard, I don't think there is anything better than the exactmat.
