Well yes, the mantis speed is identical to the everglide titan series of mats but they aren't a whole lot cheaper. Whether other fabric mats are superior while being cheaper...*shrug*...I've not tested enough to know.

I've been using the speed mat for about 4 months now with my copperhead, and i hate it! saying the surface is rough is an understatement! if you move your cursor from corner to corner, the cursor seems to be going up a staircase...
was going to order the control mat, but after reading peoples opinions on here, i think i'll steer clear...

After 5 years of hard core gaming my wooden top is incredibly smoothe. its as if its been sanded down. I highly recomend them
