Well today i dropped my side panel on my Razer Diamondback and smashed the right button (or atleast the component underneath it) so i need a new mouse.

My limit is £40 (not inc p&P) and want something either the same or better.

I cannot wait for the Lachesis because is need a mouse urgently and cannot stand using this scrollball, so which one do you recomend.

And if so why?

Thanks

Logitech MX518 ;)

comfy and awesome, all in one mouse!

i've had mine since launch and i still don't want another mouse!

Had my Diamondback since launch and i love their huge buttons and ergonomic style, tried the MX 518 and it felt to clunky, im really after another Razer (my dad is going to try and fix it tommorow maybe able to wait until the Lachesis but really if that doesnt work then im gonna need one before Portal :<

Dont mean to offend anyone but i dont like Logitech mouses, probably fanboy speech but i really like Razer, as i said only Logitech mouse i tried was 518 and it didnt feel that great and im really used to the huge Diamondback buttons, maybe i should get a Deathadder or wait for the Lachesis.

I have borrowed a Saitek mouse from a friend and i dont mind but i want my Teflon Pads back :<

My dad fixed my Diamondback, used one of the switches from a side button so my right side no longer works which is fine, i can now wait for the Lachesis, also whats with 4000fpi is it the sensetivity or accuracy?

If its a well known fact Laser Razers skip its news to me, few mates have 3g Diamondback and think its superb never had any problems, but also i never really thought why laser was needed.

i cant see why ud need 4000fpi tbh. Whats wrong with what you got now?

Side buttons dont work which i only use 2 for games but do help, right click button has a dint in it where dropped the metal on it.

I just feel like a new mouse ^_^, or could get the new keyboard..

Also cheers for the link Smurfy

Ninja Edit i found out i only need 6.4" meaning 4000dpi isnt really needed unless have a really steady hand, think the deathadder will be a better buy, use my diamondback for laptop.

I was going to explain myself but I just found this on razor's site that explains it in a nut shell,

"Polling Rate
It's the number of times the mouse sends reports to the computer every second.
Over USB it's normally 125Hz i.e. 125 times a second. Which means that there's a lag of 1/125th of a second or 8ms between the mouse and the system.

Razer's Polling Rate
Razer's mice sports higher polling rates of 500Hz or more. 500Hz would mean a 2ms lag - an obvious advantage in gaming."

How do i change the polling rate on my Razer, is it just the Sensetivity? or will it be setup automatically to highest rate.
