Spec :

E8400 @ 4GHz
P5Q Dlx
4GB Kingston PC2-6400
GF8500GT
1 x DVDRW
4 x HDD
12v Eheim 1046

I am useless (read lazy) when it comes to trying to work this sort of thing out. Corsair seems to the be the PSU of choice so I'll take that as given, but what output should I be looking at?

Any help very much appreciated

Thanks

MJD :)

A decent 400w would be fine. The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 420W would be good, don't worry about the 80mm fan, on a good 420w PSU you don't really need much cooling.

Do you plan on upgrading your GF8500GT any time?

corsair:

PCP&C:

OCZ:

all 3 will do the job.
Note: if you have mid-tower case, without cable management I would take OCZ, because it is modular, corsair and pcp&c have ton of cables...but they r better brands*

I dont really do much in the way of gaming on the PC as I have an xbox for that, so probably not in the immediate future.
