Which response is worst?

Thank you for your enquiry, unfortunately no-one is available to deal with it at the moment, you may or may not get a response in 14 working days.

for work purposes it's definitely much better to get an "i'm out of office for xyz amount of time because reasons" auto-response than silence.

at least if you get the automated reply, then you can work around it depending on the situation, for example contact someone else in their department/company if you're in a hurry.

An automated email response doesn't necessarily mean you've been ignored and nor does no response. Both are pretty bad ways of communicating though.

/me still remembers that time the OP asked about cat walking and @ThundyCat spoke at length about his cat and a neighbour's stoat-walking escapades.

When I was job hunting. Nothing worse than either employment agencies or potential employers not bothering to contact you. My friend had an interview several years ago. Never heard anything back. On a Thursday he was contacted by the potential employer asking him has he considered his job offer. He never received the letter. So the starting date pulled back by a week.
