Which retro game had the best music?

Already been mentioned, but most of the classic Square and Nintendo games have pretty good soundtracks, the Bitmap Bros ones were also usually quite good.

There's a Final Fantasy orchestra performance in London in November at the Royal Albert...should be pretty epic!

I was going to mention a bunch of my favourites but many are there on the first couple pages.

The 8/16 bit soundtracks may have been limited by technology but they're still very catchy 20 years on. Gets me in the mood for some retro gaming!

There's been plenty of retro games for me that had good Music. Like Double Dragon, Megaman, Bubble Bobble, Afterburner, Outrun, River Street Ransom, Nights Into Dreams, Doom, Streets Of Rage, Shenmue, Cannon Fodder,F-Zero,...... I could go on for ages but I'm on my Blackberry which increases the odds of typos.
