Which Rig ?

Ok, currently im using the rig in my sig.

But i also own ( but not in my possession for the moment )

A8N-SLI Premium
S939 X2 4200+
X1900XTX 512Mb
2Gb DDR RAM
36GB Raptor
2x 120GB Maxtors
X-Fi Music
580W Tagan

I plan on keeping : ( when i get the 939 rig back )

X1900XTX
X-fi
Raptor and one of the maxtors
Tagan 580w

and selling the rest to get a AM2 4600+ X2 and 2Gb DDR2 667

OR

Should i keep the 939 rig in its entirity and get a cheap 4800+ X2 and flog the AM2 Rig?

As you said, keep the graphics card, HDD's, sound card and PSU but I'd say go for a Conroe instead of an AM2 processor..
Unless you wanted to keep the mobo, in which case go for the AM2 cpu.

How would keeping the mobo aid am2 rig? Needs a different socket no?

I've yet to see a decent argument for going AM2 over 939.

I'd say keep the 939 and get the 4800 while its cheap.
