OS-001-MS Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition inc. SP2 - OEM - 1Pk (N09-01528) (OS-001-MS)

KB-046-LG Logitech S96 PS/2 Optical Wheel Mouse Black - OEM (KB-046-LG)
£5.50 £5.50
Subtotal £710.70

Or one with am2 x2 4600 and a evga 7900GT.

Question is, on either setup is the psu enough? Absolute max budget of 750 notes. Tho the less the better in the £££ dept.

Can opened. Worms everywhere :p

The psu should be fine unless he's going to be pushing it's o/c potential. For the record I'd go intel every time at the moment

i realised I was taking a risk asking for help choosing between a connie and an x2... anyway.

My main worry was the psu. I'd read in various places that the ati cards can be a bit power hungry.

Doubt he will be clocking, he's off to uni to drink his weight in port :D

I suppose if he is willing to go to £750 budget, that will give around £100 for case and psu, so he could get a 500W+ psu for the majority (£70 ish) and get a cheaper case without psu with the remainder

Though tbh i dunno whether the extra 50W would be needed
