Which router for gaming?

Got rid of the Linksys wireless router too many problems with it so now im after a simple none wireless router whats the best and most stable for gaming? tia

Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Broadband Router/4-Port Switch it was a version 5 which ive read does have problems come with it i didnt get it from ocuk got it from a local retail shop needed it then and there kind of thing, everytime i connected it up i my comp internet went at snails pace yet the laptop was fine returned said unit and same happened with the replacement so i just got a refund and got a belkin 4 port router but its dropping my internet connection about every 5 mins so im gonna look at getting a refund on that and getting something more reliable

Has anyone had any experience with a Netgear RP614 Router? I can get one down my way for £24.58+ in stock i think anything is going to be better than this Belkin router if it wasnt for my net connection keep dropping it would be brilliant!

i have a NetGear WGT624 xbox compatible (with the right firmware) and its spot on mate works 100%!

Have you tried upgarding the firmware of the WRT54G mate?

yep done that but didnt make a difference so i went out today and got a Netgear WGR614 v6 today for £41 plugged it in sorted out all my required ports etc. works 100% one not a problem all day....so far nothing like the problems ive experienced with the other 2 routers.
