Hi
I am having problems with sky fibre on a wired connection I get 37meg, on wireless anywhere between 2 and 24 meg I have tried all the different channels etc been on the phone for hours to sky but they say because the wired speed is ok there is nothing then can do :(

Reading the forums people have changed the router for a more powerful one, any idea which one to get from overclockers ?

Thanks
Lee

I'm guessing with sky fibre your using the Sky hub as your modem? If so you need to eaither get a router with a VDSL modem inside it or pick up a HG612 modem from ebay and then get a router with a standard WAN port.

The Asus 66U or AC68U are good routers to go with the HG612 modem. (Depending if you want the AC wireless on the 68u and its ability to work better with VPN's due to its better processor). If you flash them to Merlins firmware (easly googleable they will work with sky's MER authentication. You will need to get your username and password out of your sky hub, the how to can be found on the sky user forums (google sky hub password).

As for one with the modem built in ill let someone else advice you :)
