I'm looking at buying a router for the new place I'll be moving into, its around 45m2.

Home connection
ISP:
Orange
Type: FTTP with ONT
Speeds: 300Mb/s Up and 50Mb/s Down (Might go for the 1Gb/s in the near future)

Router Requirements
- PPoE & VLAN Support
- WireGuard Server functionality
- Remote Access

Budget: £120 (For the home router)

I'm currently considering the GL.iNet Flint 2 (GL-MT6000) or the older Flint (GL-AX1800), which would easily allow me to setup a WireGuard Server and Client using another router such as Slate Plus (GL-A1300). Is this the best combo, or are there better options?

For the price point I can’t see you going wrong with the Flint 2.
Do you've the Flint 2? I read about WiFi issues, not sure if the extra £30 is worth it for the Flint 2. Flint is currently £84 whilst Flint 2 is £113.

I don't but from what I've read the WiFi issues are mainly to do with the 2.4GHz band and if you update to the official OpenWrt I believe this solves a lot of issues.

The Flint 2 has a 2.5Gb WAN and LAN port and also has faster Wireguard speed for the small price difference the Flint 2 is definitely the better buy.

The Flint 2 is also AX so faster WiFi speeds.
