Am looking for a new router for my new house when I move in.
Will be connected fo PlusNet Fibre.
Am going to be locating it under the stairs as this will be the central point for my home network. Have a 24 port gigabit managed switch to deal with that side, so am not that fussed about number of ports available on the router itself, but am looking at getting an AC capable one so as to make use of that capability with the new phones we have in the house.
Ideally want it to be as cheap as possible, but achieve good wireless coverage and speeds for those that will be using it. Max budget will be around the £100 mark, but as said, the cheaper it is the more likely I can get CINCNAGHOME approval for purchase. (am thinking go cheap to get it in and then upgrade later)
I realise that you get a router with PlusNet but have heard that is not up to much and also will not give me the AC capability too.
