Which Sata3 port to use

I am getting an Asus P8P67 motherboard and will be using a

WD 640GB 3.5" SATA-III 6Gb/s Caviar Black Hard Drive - 7200rpm 64MB Cache as my boot drive, Im just wondering which Sata3 port to plug it into?

The intel ports (grey) or the marvell ports (navy blue)

I think most would choose the Intel ports. Generally faster than the add-on ports.

they reckon you should use port 0 and 1 to be safe.

- Tests have found that under 5% of boards are affected.
- PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO POTENTIAL ISSUE TO SANDYBRIDGE PROCESSORS

Is it ok for me to plug a sata2 hard drive into a sata3 port?
