on my xfi-xtreme gamer card would it be better to use 16bit 96000hz or 24bit 9600hz for games as never messed with one of these,was hoping to see how eax works in quake but it doesnt use it does it cheers for any help

if u mean q4 it uses eax and occulision.

as for question, try both see which u prefer
