Which should i get? Massive decision.

Ye, but the thing that is now bugging me is the upgrade capabilities.

I just can't stop but think that I might:

run out of HDD
Need a better gfx

If this happens, im in trouble!!

What have you got atm?

8800GS = fine
HDD = External?

Why do you want to avoid it? I have a 160GB Passport drive plugged in 24/7 for all my music and it runs flawlessly, as if it was a standard drive.

8800GS will play all games, apart from maybe Crysis on high.

I dont see why you will NEED a Mac Pro, and at that price a self built machine will be cheaper.

The iMac is amazing to have, takes up no space, and can be moved around, the Mac Pro comes with 320GB hdd.. yet the iMac you said has 750GB.

Have you got MSN? Really need to talk to some one, so many questions concerns etc i have.

Have we away of contacting each other away from here? email? msn?

Have some questions

Ram?

GFX Card?

HDD?

I didnt have much time to check it today unfortunately and most of it has slipped my mind. I do know it was the mac pro that came out at around 1749/1799 on release :) So it has 1gb Ram probably. Email in trust if you want to know which retailer/store.

Seriously get the top spec iMac. You will not need a Mac Pro. I've been running the likes of COD4 on my MBP with stunning results and that's with the 8600GT Mobile chip. The card in the new 24" iMac will be fine for most games for the foreseeable future.

Panzer

But that, to me anyway, is pointless.

For £100 or so , i could have a pro. Which would be better, and last longer. That is if i went for the top iMac.

You seem to have made your mind up.

Think it's pretty funny people are talking about buying a mac pro for college, yet all you want is to play games and browse the internet.

Well, let me sum it up for you.

Everyone else - "you don't need a mac pro"
You - "i'm not really going to listen as i have already made my mind up and I wont be paying anyway"

:p

Well, thats where your wrong.
I will be paying, for a quite a large chunk of it.

After talking to Syke on MSN , I was swaying to the iMac , but I just can't help but think that i may have to upgrade in the future.

But what i might do is, buy iMac, and if it isn't powerful enough, sell it on and buy a Pro ( should break even with HE Discount.)
