Which silent case fans?

Hi guys,

I have an antec 300 case and am looking to put 2 case fans in the front for better airflow. Question is , which ones? They must be silent, loud cases for me are annoying!

I was in the same boat as you yesterday!!, till a took a drive down to OC'ers and picked up 2 Xilence Redwing fans and they do the job nicely =)

The 1,200rpm Scythe Slipstreams are really good, otherwise Yate Loon or Nexus (Nexus are Yate's with a lower rpm). Whatever you get you'll want a fan controller or something to lower the voltage for silence.

yep, silent as i could need them...because I can still hear my crap arse of a Gfx card fan over them (god its crap! :mad:

)

Cant hear them at all, even with the 2 stock Antec fans on Low setting.

The Noctua are ridiculously overpriced and get negative comments compared to other on the silentpcreview forums.

The Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000 120mm Fan - 3/4 Pin gets my vote.

I added three Akasa AK-191-SM Smoke Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan - 3 pin to my order of the antec 300. gonna put 2 at the front and 1 on the side panel. should all be here on tuesday

I also have an Sharkoon Silent eagle 2000 120mm, which will go at the back.

Noctua is the only way to go. The others are all noisy in comparison. You pay for silence.
