Which Single Slot Card?

Hi,

Are there any decent single slot cards available these days? I have a pc based around a Lian Li PC-Q03B and ideally I'd like to be able to fire up the odd game on a tv at say 720p.

Games such as Left for Dead, Skyrim and the Stalker series are really what I'd be looking to play occasionally. Is there anything out there that would be best suited to that set up? Or am I out of luck?

It's a really tight fit in there and I'm limited to 1 expansion slot.

AFOX AMD HD7850. absolutely the best single slot gpu, and for not much more than a regular 7850.

edit: only has 1gb of vram but the 7850 at best would need no more than 1.25-1.5gb in relation to its power, and 1gb for 720p is actually completely fine anyway

edit2: no wait, it's actually 2gb... which is pretty amazing

A company caled AFOX does a single slot 7850, I think they are US based (?). Seen them sold over here for £250, quite the premium really

e: just saw the above, I didn't think it was "not much more than a regular 7850" but I haven't looked recently

£250 is 1/5 more than i can see it for. honestly for what it is i think the price premium is unreasonably reasonable. this would probably be a really good item for ocuk to stock as well... had no idea it existed

edit: there's also a "low profile" 7850 from the same company, so don't get that mixed up with the "single slot", in case you're interested.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't know if the price of the AFOX AMD HD7850 is worth it for the amount of time it'll be used.

The HIS HD 7750 seems like a good choice, a quick google makes me think it'll do the job but like you say the image shows it's not single slot unforunately although if the 3.6cm is right it might just fit. I'll have to move the HDD caddy thing but at least that will provide ventilation holes. I'll have to measure up when I'm home.

I'm not really up on what would be the best but is there an alternative that would cope with the games I mentioned at 720p? I don't mind having to reduce the settings if it helps.

k again this is only because ocuk doesn't stock anything adequate (ie single slot), but if you look around club3d does a single slot hd7750 for less than 80, which is again pretty reasonable
