Which size TRV blanking cap?

I've taken the radiators off in a few rooms as I'm having the plasterer in for the next couple weeks and I want to blank of the TRVs.

I have Drayton TRV4s fitted but am not sure of the size blanking cap I need to buy. From measuring it looks like it's nearly 22mm, but from reading around it seems I might need a BSP 1/2" cap?
 
Whats wrong with just turning the valves off? Turn the lockshield side off, then turn the TRV side off after removing the TRV head.
 
They're going to be off for a few weeks and I'd rather not chance it if someone knocks a valve or anything while they're off. Figured it out anyway, they're 1/2" BSP which is the same as 15mm. Pipe sizes are weird..

Turns out the old lockshield valves I've got are leaky anyway when closed so it's a good job I've blanked them off! I'll replace them all when I fit the new radiators after the plastering and painting is sorted
