Hey.

I've been looking at upgrading to PCI-E but I don't know which one to go for out of:

Gigabyte K8N Pro SLi nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-038-GI)

Or

DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-014-DF)

I've just been told that the DFI Boards have a BIOS stability issue so you have to play about with them a bit to get them working properly.

Or should I be looking at a different board all together?

Cheers. :)

I'd buy DFI all the time. :D

They're great boards and if using the auto settings in the bios should work without any issues.

People tend to have problems because of the sheer amount of options available when overclocking but if your not sure just change one setting at a time and if it works then keep it and move on.

Also DFI Street is a forum aimed specifically at users of these mobos and someone there will have had any problems you could possibly think of well before you run into them.

I've had three Gigabyte's in-a-row and love them, I don't overclock I just want a plug it in and away we go solution, for this they are great. I have had the K8N Pro for about a week and the only thing I'm struggling with is a SATA drive but I think this is a faulty disk rather than a problem with the MBoard.

Never had a DFI so can't comment on them.
