Which small upgrade?

Hi,

My current setup is :-
E6600 @ Stock speed
8GB DDR2 6400 Ram
Zotac 9800GT 512MB
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 (unsure of which revision I have)

Which would be a more worth while upgrade a Q6600 or GTX275, both are around £75-£85 2nd hand?

I mainly use my PC for Photoshop / Lightroom and some casual gaming - COH, BFBC 2 and Starcraft 2. My monitor is 1680 x 1050.

a GTX275 will easily dump on a 9800gt, and for that price will be a good performer.

a 9800gt is just a renamed 8800gt with a few small tweaks.

Photoshop and Lightroom will run better on a quad core and the same goes with some games like BFBC2. OTH,the GTX275 will be faster in games than a 9800GT. However, the 9800GT consumes much less power than a GTX375 so what PSU you have ATM is also important.

Thought about getting a new cooler such as the Titan Fenrir Evo and trying some overclocking?

I have a corsair HX 620w PSU so not short on power. I also have some kind of Thermalright cooler on my CPU with a 120mm fan.
Will try overclocking my CPU and get the graphics card update then. Thanks for the advice.

optitech-uk - if an upgrade offers considerable improvement how is it a waste of money?
