Which smart phone?

Hey guys, sorry to trouble you lot. Been doing a lot of research into "smart" phones for my girlfriend, was going to go for the 8900 blackberry bold but couldn't get it at the right price. The problem is my gf won't budge on having a 12 month contract.

The minimum she needs is:
100 mins
500 texts
Unlimited data (for facebook mainly)
3g connectivity is a big bonus

cant stress enough though that she wont budge on the 12 month stance, which makes my life a pain but shes stubborn lol.

as said before it does need to be a smart phone as she wants a big screen for facebook. i'm rambling a bit now so i'll leave it at that, any questions just ask.

i should note that i will be able to get through to retentions on the vodafone network and the max cost she wants to pay per month is approx £30. Any tips on the clearance sites like beepy would be a bonus? i heard the cashback redemption is a pain in the bum.

why not just buy a sim free phone so there is no contract?

cause contracts generally work out cheaper especially with data.

does anyone else have any other suggestions? she likes the 5800 but i would like a bit of choice, as the 5800 seems more focused on being a music player than good at web browsing?

You're not going to do much better for that price - I could happily recommend better handsets, but you're not going to get better value than the 5800. The 5530 below doesn't have 3G, so is fairly useless for browsing on the move. If you were willing to look at £40-50/month, you could do better. For what it's worth, I think the 5800 does a pretty good job with browsing when you're using Opera Mini 5 (albeit beta).
