Which software - Help!

Hello All,

I'm after some software (free or trialware) if possible that I can use to get photos off a disc that has been made to play as a dvd.

Story behind this is my photographer (from my wedding) has made a preview dvd of photos he's taken and put them onto a dvd, as soon as i place this dvd into my iMac it plays and shows the pictures then they fade then next picture shows on screen. The only files i can see on the disc are video ts files and audio ts.

So basically i'd like to be able to extract some photos from this and email them to friends and family, and thus would like to know of any software capable of this. Any help appreciated.

Av8 the original photographer probably sold you that DVD without the digital images for a reason. They rarely do give the imaged like that, they'll sell them to you as part of the contract.

In other words, what you trying to do is ripping his work, save that instead of 'damaging' a multibillion hollywood studio, you're hurting the little guy trying to make a living.

Well i've already paid a hefty amount for his work, all i was wanting to do was email a few pics to relatives in Italy. Not wanting to print anything from this as i could theoretically scan all my photos from the wedding album then print/email what i want off couldn't i? Just wanting to save myself the hassle, even the image isn't top notch anyway as its just preview stuff.

Ignoring all copyright issues, wouldnt a simple way to do this just be to take screenshots as the disc is playing?

EDIT - just remembered that OSX disables screenshot whilst DVD player is open. You can get around this using Skitch (or another 3rd party app) or by adding a script
