Which sound card please

Hi I'm currently using a 5.1 sound blaster sound card which is as old as the hills. When using Win XP + Creative software I can record what you hear.

However, if I install Win 7 the record what you hear fails to work, from what I've found on the net this is a short coming of Creative through failing to update their Sound Blaster software.

My question is. Anyone know which current sound cards will allow you to record What you hear using Win 7. A choice would be great

You are using the cards software to record the sound output of yore PC?
Have only done that a long time ago but that depends on software not hardware
So you need software to do the job on a new card
Creative are a bunch of lazy ignorants
I have compatibility problems with an old card software bugs like no 5.1
So i will have to get a new card but not from them
The card is still working but the software is braking my heart

Creative Z will do what you want Hondo. The Xonar Dx and D2X should do it was well.
