Which soundcard? Help?!?

Hey,
im buildin mi new pc soon and one of th most problematic choices ive come accross is which soundcard should i get. im lookin for sumthin affordable wich supports 5.1 surround. im not particular bout th brand but i would like sumthin reliable

Creative Soundblaster Audigy2 is affordable. Do your ears a favour though and buy an X-Fi. Well worth the extra moolah!

I'd go for the SB X-Fi XtremeMusic. Actually, I did. And I love it

What sound card do you have at the moment?

Dont forget Turtle Beach and X-Mystique 7.1.
The X-Mystique is generally a good all round card and great for music.X-Fi might be better if you want the latest EAX format.

Unfortunately atm as im building the new pc im stuck with an external soundcard but i plan to bin that and have it replaced with something much better
