which soundcard to buy?

as from above..
have these three in mind

creative x-fi xtrememusic
audiotrak prodigy 7.1
x-mystique gold 7.1

dont game much, but do play games like quake4..
would like a good sound quaity card.

i know that the x-fi would be better in gaming, but when the other 2 is compared with x-fi on gaming, will the difference be really a lot? and also the other way round, will the sound quailty in music be differ a lot?

if you dont game much its not worth spending money on any of those cards. a cheap audigy2 will do you fine

Get the X-Fi Xtreme Music but if you can spent more money get the Fatal1ty FPS Edition. BUt the Xtreme Music is the best out of those three.

well come on. justify spending £150 on a soundcard when he doesnt game much then.

I agree, the Audigy 2 is fine, unless you simply have money to burn. If so the X-Fi is a shining example of what to waste money on - especialy seeing as you don't game much.
