Which Speaker Set?

I'm after gettin a new speaker setup for christmas.. however I'm not very clued up on the available sets atm..

I'm looking between £30 and £70..
Would like at least 5.1.. 7.1 if possible..

What are my best options?

I've seen the creative sets.. but are they any good?

Will mainly be used for games and a little music.
Will be plugged into onboard ac97 for a few months then possibly an audigy 4 after that.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Ok... New developments..

Since I decided to wait and save.. I've got a budget of ~£250 now..
Since this is the only part of my system I can't see me upgrading totally within the next 2 years.. what should I go for?

The room I'll install it in is a perfect rectangle about 8ft by 12ft..
I'm thinking 5.1 as 7.1 is probably overkill for the size of the room..

Also.. should I get a seperate s/c as well.. as I'm running onboard audio atm.. all be it 7.1 spec.

I've seen a set of Logitech Z-5450's for £190inc.. should I get them for that price?

How are the wireless rear speakers powered though?
