which speakers to go for?

hello guys and girls need some advice for speakers, im looking a 5.1 surround sound for my pc in my bedroom i have been looking at logitech z506, x530, x540 5.1 systems but not sure which to go for! its mainly for music and for games that i play, need steered in the right direction thanks
 
x530/540 have been well liked for a long time, so maybe they would be a good choice if you can find a new set. They were discontinued quite a while back now, so if you can find a new set, don't pay over the odds. Some places increase the selling price of things that go EOL, because they know some people will pay more to get the product before it disappears.

If you can't find X530/540 for a decent price, grab the Z506.

no problem have you any experience with the z506`s? my parent has the 2.1 version of the x530`s and i really like them but wanting 5.1
 
I haven't, but I have seen a few comment from people over the last few years that preferred the X530/540 over the z506 whenever this question came up. I think Wazza300 has the z506. He likes them a lot from what I recall.
