Hi guys,

Struggling to make my mind up here so I'll put it to the masses ;)

I've recently sold my MBP and iPad to combine my work on the go devices into 1 and have decided on a 13" MBA.

My every day machine is a quad-core 27" iMac, so any really heavy stuff can be done on that. The 13" MBA would be my secondary device, for working on the go at client's premises etc.

I'm a web designer/developer so the programs I run on a daily basis are Photoshop, Illustrator, Coda, etc.

My dilema is - Which spec do I get?! I've narrowed it down to:

13" MBA
4GB RAM
128GB SSD
1.86Ghz CPU

and

13" MBA
4GB RAM
256GB SSD
2.13Ghz CPU

The price difference between the two is about £300. Now, do you think I can get away with the lower model? Half of me thinks this spec would suffice as a secondary machine, but the geek half wants the best possible spec :D

Is larger SSD and faster CPU worth £300?

Any opinions and/or experiences welcome :)

Deep down I knew I'd regret not getting the upgrades for the sake of £300. It should arrive Monday, can't wait! :D

Exactly. It's not like a PC where you'll be able to open it up to upgrade it in two years time, what you spec now it'll have forever.

Mine even manages VMs fine .

Being as it isn't for a main machine and it's just for travelling I'd have gone for the lowest spec and probably an 11" myself, what you've got will be massively over specced... But bloody lovely so I am jealous :D
