Hi Clockers.

Long story short, I have about £100 - £130 to spend on PC upgrades. So I can't replace my full rig just yet. So a little bit at a time.

The first thing I want to do is to upgrade my memory to 8GB+ and HDD to a SSD. Bearing in mind my rig is as follows:

Motherboard:Asus M4A79XTD EVO (AM3)
Chip: AMD Phenom II X4 955
Memory: 4GB DDR3 666.6MHz
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series

Anything specific you guys would recommend?

Thanks in advance

Gary

YOUR BASKET
1 x SK Hynix 256GB SSD SH910A SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive (HFS256G32MNB-2201A) £84.98
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLRED38G2400HC11CDC01) £65.99
Total : £159.67 (includes shipping : £7.25).

The RAM will run at a slower speed on your board but in the future when change board+cpu then it will.

Got a 64bit OS?

Grab the 128Gb SSD if thats too much £££

Cheers Pal, appreciate it. I'll take a look at them :-)
